Best of 2010

In 2010 Conor's vocabulary exploded! The past few months have been exceptionally entertaining as he's learned many new phrases. Here's a few of our favorites:

1. "That was amazing!"

(when anything cool happens)

2. "Here's the deal..."

(when making plans with Mommy)

3. "When I get big like my Daddy..."

(he has a whole list of things he's going to do when he gets big including going to a big office and climbing the ladder like his Daddy)

4. "I've been waiting for this for a long time!"

(upon receiving a garbage truck on Christmas morning)

5. "I have a great idea!"

(when he's trying to convince Mommy to do something)

6. "Mommy/Daddy, you the best!"

(pretty much every day...he's such a sweet boy)

7. "That was so sweet of them!"

(whenever he receives a card in the mail from his grandparents)

9. "I'm going to be so excited!!!"

(when we tell him that he can go to the playground or ride his bike)

8. "I need some alone time."

(when he wants to watch tv in our bed alone)

10. "Me okay, me not bleeding."

(after falling off his bike)

11. "Only big boys can do this ______."

(anything that he thinks babies and girls can't do)

12. "Awwww Man!"

13. "Oh My Goodness!"

Our Night Out

Tonight we took Conor to Safety Town because they always decorate it so nicely for Christmas.  They also have people set up in the houses doing activities or giving things away.  This year Conor was most interested in the fire trucks.  He kept wanting to go back and look at the trucks that were parked at the station next door.  We managed to drag him out to a few of the little houses so he could get a balloon and see the pretty lights.  His favorite was the house that had the blue lit Christmas tree (he loves blue lights)!

We then went to Frisco Square because they had a big Christmas festival going on.  We got to see hot air balloons, a massive model train set, and the craziest Christmas light display you will ever see.  It was a very eventful evening!

Such a Character

After a great morning of Conor helping Daddy make pancakes and fixing some stuff with his tools, Conor told us that he "needed some alone time."  He said he wanted to watch Shrek the Halls in our bed.  Here he is having his "alone time."

Conor's Christmas Wishes

Conor made an ornament at school this year and on the back they had to list their top three Christmas wishes. Here are Conor's:

Fishing

Conor and his cousin Maxwell got to fish with Papa over the Thanksgiving Holidays.  It was really cute because Maxwell was all about touching the worms and fish.  Conor on the other hand only wanted to hold the net and scoop them up (much like his Daddy).

Here we go again

If you recall a post from last year, I have had the hardest time finding a particular Christmas Carol.  Now that we are past Thanksgiving I was ready to get back in the Christmas spirit so I went back to that post to listen to the song.  Much to my surprise, the link was dead.  I thought I had lost my song forever!  Luckily I found it on hulu. Trick or Treat

Conor and Ava set out again this year to go trick or treating. They get into it more and more each year.  Aren't they just adorable together?

Fun at the Playground

With the nice weather we have been having, Conor decided he really wanted to go to the playground.  I can't believe all the energy he has.  We went from soccer tots this morning to the mall where he ran around in their play area.  Then this afternoon he spent an hour at the playground running around.

Cruisin'

Conor has been dying to get back on his bike.  Unfortunately it was always too hot!  Finally this morning it felt glorious outside.  I'm convinced that if we would let him, Conor would ride all day.  He loves to do the loop around the block.  His favorite part is at the corners when it starts to slope downward because he can get going really fast.

Thankfully Conor loves it when I take his picture.  Here he is at the dinner table this evening enjoying a pickle, grilled cheese, beans and some much deserved M&M's.  He had to go to the dermatologist today so he earned his dessert.

The other night Conor was getting the biggest kick out of jumping up and into Mommy (sometimes when Mommy wasn't expecting it).  Here are a couple of action shots I got of Conor jumping.

It has been a while since I posted pictures of Conor in the bath.  He always looks so cute with his hair wet.  Conor is to the point now where he never wants to get out.  Every bath night is a struggle because he is having so much fun!

We signed Conor up for Soccer Tots and here is a video of him in his first class. This little game doesn't really have anything to do with soccer but all the kids had fun. Unfortunately I missed out on filming Conor throwing the ball right in the coaches face.

Our Little Lance

Even though Lance had a rough day at Le Tour, Conor was still motivated to get out on his "bike." He has gotten really good! Here is a short little clip of him in action.

Baba & Papa's House - 4th of July!

Every 4th of July there is a parade and fireworks display on Lake McQueeney. We decorated the boat and set out for some 4th of July fun! Conor loved being on the boat and seeing all of the other boats. That night we went back out on the lake for some of the most amazing fireworks displays we've ever seen. Conor was in awe! It was such a lovely weekend full of great food, relaxing and fun!
