Baby Conor Wears Short Shorts

These are an old pair of my shorts that Grandma Sano recently found. We tried them on Conor to see if they fit and that's when the fun began!

For those of you who don't remember where the "She Wears Short Shorts" came from click here for a refresher.

Play Time

Conor loves his little baby pool! He's learned how to fill up his little bucket and pour it over his head. Everytime he does it he gets a confused look on his face like "Where did this water come from?" (Be sure to check out his sweet bathing suit courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa Grant!)

The Most Interesting Baby in the World

Conor doesn't always drink beer but when he does, he prefers Dos Equis.

If you have a really confused look on your face I encourage you to click here.

Happy Father's Day

While this is technically Warren's 2nd Father's Day, it is really the first that he's celebrated. Last year Baby Conor was just 9 days old on Father's Day and we were all in a fog.

From the moment Warren found out that he was going to be a father he has been devoted to that baby. Warren was so excited to know that we would be having a baby. There was not a doctors appointment that he missed throughout the entire pregnancy. We lived for hearing that tiny heartbeat once a month. He never left my side and for that I will be eternally grateful.

It was so amazing how quickly Warren picked up his fathering skills. I am embarrassed to say that he was more comfortable changing and holding Conor than I was those first couple of days. There is nothing that he will not do for our baby boy. He loves having him around and wants to be there for every new experience. Warren has this sort of calm about him that is just so comforting to Conor.

As you can see Conor adores his daddy! Just the look on Conor's face when he sees his daddy is proof of how much he loves him. They are two peas in a pod. One day Conor will grow up to be a gentleman just like his daddy.
We love you Daddy/Warren!

Conor is 1 Year Old!

On June 8th Conor turned 1 year old. We celebrated by taking a trip to South Padre Island for a long weekend of celebrating. Conor had a wonderful time playing in the pool, at the beach, enjoying all of his new toys, and getting lots and lots of attention from Grandma and Grandpa Pons & Sano. Mommy and Daddy baked him a sand castle cake in honor of the trip. On the last night Conor dined on the patio of Scampi's restaurant and watched the sunset over the Laguna Madra Bay. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful 1st birthday!

Conor has had a very busy month! He's been on his first boat ride at Lake McQueeney, he's been swimming several times, he's discovered the ocean, and he's been on his first plane ride. Here are just a few of Conor's favorite things to do:
  • playing with his toys that make lots of noise

  • dancing (he's gotten good at keeping with the rhythm of the song)

  • swimming

  • trying new table foods - sliced carrots, pasta with alfredo sauce, fruit coctail, green beans, peas, ravioli, yogurt, soy milk, & whole milk...yum!

  • walking with his little push toys

Five teeth have made it through and there's about three more that are trying to come through at the moment. Cell phones are an obsession right now...he likes to have one in each hand. He's recently discovered that the buttons make noise and that the phone will light up when you press a button...this is a dangerous thing! Unfortunately Conor has inherited his Mommy's temper. When things aren't going his way or if he is interrupted while playing he will start throwing things. Just a couple of days shy of his 1st birthday Conor got very brave and stood up all by himself without holding onto anything. Everytime he does it he looks around and waits for everyone to applaud. He is so very proud of this.

Conor just went for his 12 month doctor visit. Here are his stats:

  • 20 lbs. 12 oz. (45%)

  • 30 1/4 inches (75%)

Swimming at the pool.

Conor finally gets to use his pool float.
