Conor Bounces

For the first time ever, Conor got to play in his bouncer! He seemed to really enjoy it. I don't know how many times I had to hear "the itsy bitsy spider" in a row. It was nice though because I was able to set him up on the coffee table and bounce him a little bit with my feet. He fell right to sleep after that. We ended up taking the bouncer with us everywhere we went, put it on vibrate and he fell right to sleep.

The second picture you see shows him in one of his classic poses. For some reason, he throws both arms out in disgust and his hands tense up. We don't know if he is agitated with us or he has gas. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why he does it. I personally think he is casting spells on us.

Conor goes for a walk

We took Conor for a LONG walk this morning. We loaded him up in the Bugaboo and set out for the lake (a little man made lake in our subdivision). He was asleep when we set out and I don't think he woke up once until we got back home.

As we were out enjoying the morning, we had a bit of an ironic moment. Sandy and I were chatting about having another kid and if we thought we could do it again. We decided we definitely aren't the type to immediately have another one and that it would be best to wait a few years. Not 30 seconds after we finished that discussion, a sweet old lady walked by and asked to see the baby. As she was admiring him and all his beauty she said that we HAVE to have another child. "It just isn't right to have only one kid," she said. That was definitely a sign from above that there is no doubt about it, we need to have at least one more child.

2 weeks old

Today, Conor is two weeks old. He had his checkup with the pediatrician and everything went very well. He now weighs 8 lbs 7 oz and is 21" in length (that's 11 oz and 1 inch since birth for all those keeping track). The doctor was so impressed with how strong he is! She lied him down on his tummy and Conor was able to pick his head up and look around. Dr. Michaels also said that we don't have to worry about him getting fat because he is so active. He is in the 65% for length and only the 25% for weight.

His next appointment is July 9th and in the meantime we have to take him to the hospital to get some bloodwork done :( I don't like it when they have to poke and prod my baby Conor.
