Our Busy Little 2 Year Old

Conor recently had his 2 year check up at the doctor:
Weight: 27 pounds, 40th percentile
Height: 36 inches, 85th percentile
Overall: Healthy, Happy, and Awesome!!!
Here's just a few things that he's been up to: The biggest thing to report is that he's talking...alot! It seems like once he hit 2 years old his vocabulary just went into overdrive. He's talking constantly, repeating everything, and very interested in learning what things are called. His favorite word of course is "No"...but what 2-year doesn't love that word? As you can see he's learning how to put on his shoes, he's actually gotten good at this quickly. He loves helping his daddy fix things around the house with his little toy tool set. He loves the Nintento Wii. He loves helping us do yard work...he brings out his bubble mower and mows the lawn. He scolds the pugs when they are bad. He loves books; he's learning his letters and numbers. He has a funny infatuation with the vacuum...it is arguably one of his favorite things in the world...don't ask us why. He's such a sweet boy! He keeps us on our toes :)

Shootin Hoops

Conor is a chip off the 'ol block when it comes to basketball. He LOVES shooting baskets with his daddy. The funny thing is...he's good! He has a way of just throwing the ball up and it goes in the majority of the time. It's amazing to watch!

Then and now

Conor actually just started sleeping like this again with his hands up above his head. I just love it!

Happy Birthday America!

Conor had an absolute blast over the 4th of July weekend. Poor baby was so exhausted this morning, though. Friday night he got to experience fireworks for the first time (don't worry he didn't set any off himself). We took him to Kaboomtown in Addison where he got to play with family and friends. At first he was mesmerized with the fireworks but quickly lost interest and played with the sword that Grandpa Bill bought for him. By the way, thank you to Aunt Barb and Uncle Jeramy for the great parking spot!

Saturday was spent at Scott and Teresa's house for the Briggs family reunion. Unfortunately we were so busy we didn't get many pictures but suffice it to say Conor was in heaven. After swimming all afternoon and going down their slide between pools (which I thoroughly enjoyed as well!), Conor spent the rest of the day flirting with their two daughters. It was absolutely hilarious to watch.

On Sunday, we all went out on a boat on Grapevine Lake. By this time Conor was pretty tired but he still enjoyed watching Mommy and Daddy jump off the second deck or go down the slide. All in all it was an absolutely wonderful weekend. Thank you to Scott and Teresa for planning and hosting the reunion!
