Wiggly Play Center

Today I gave Mommy a MUCH DESERVED break and took Conor to the Wiggly Play Center. At first he didn't quite know what to think. I had to crawl around with him for a while (which wasn't easy because these things weren't made for people over 6' tall) and go down slides with him. By the end he was having a blast jumping around with all the kids. He got to experience his first bounce house, too. He loved it! It had ledges he could crawl up on and jump down from. There was also a really big slide that he jumped down from.

The Grant Family Summer Vacation 2009

It was nice long week away from Frisco. We had a chance to visit with family and friends and forgot about work for a little while. Conor got some much needed spoiling and learned lots of new things along the way. We learned some things about Conor as well. For instance his favorite music include "The Dave Matthews Band" and "Vampire Weekend". Also, his favorite thing to watch on TV is Golf. Yes, that's right...he loves watching golf. He even claps when the ball goes in the hole. The pugs even enjoyed the vacation...they spent the week playing with Sophie. Thanks to Conor's grandparents we were able to escape to Puerto Vallarta for a few days worry free. It was amazing how much we missed Conor those 4 days that we were away...it made my heart ache to think about him. Being away from him made us realize how blessed we are to have such an incredible little boy. The reports we received upon our return were of a well-behaved, potty training, napping, sleeping through the night, great appetite, non-whiny little angel. We're glad he took it easy on them :) We were ecstatic to see him and hear his precious voice again.

Lions, Tigers & The Rainforest Cafe...Oh My!

Nana, Grandpa, Baba, and Papa were so sweet to take a day off and treat Conor to the Zoo and the Rainforest Cafe. In preparation for the big day Baba and Nana even bought him zoo and animal books to get him excited. It was quite an experience and one that none of them will soon forget! Apparently it was one of the hottest days of the year, which make it even more of an adventure. Conor came home with a bag full of souvineers and many funny memories :) One funny story we have to share is that they sat really close to these two giant elephants at the Rainforest Cafe and Conor was totally freaked out everytime they would start moving around and making noise. So now everytime he sees the little stuffed elephant that they bought him he throws it as hard as he can across the room...its hysterical!

Summer Vacation - Canyon Lake

Next we headed over to Nana and Grandpa's house at Canyon Lake. Conor stayed here while Mommy & Daddy enjoyed some much needed relaxing on the beach in Puerto Vallarta :) Conor had so much fun splashing in the pool with Nana. He also learned how to water plants for Grandpa...these plants won't need water for a while!

Summer Vacation - Lake McQueeney

Last weekend Conor had his first fishing lesson with Papa out on the canal behind the house. He even has his own tiny fishing rod, compliments of his Aunt Natalie. Conor learned how to do dig up worms and bait his hook. We stopped counting after he caught his 6th fish! He's a natural (with a little help from Papa of course). Later he went swimming at the ski lodge and enjoyed a nice boat ride to watch the sunset. It was the perfect way to start out our vacation week!
