C is for COOKIES

I had the brilliant idea to let Conor decorate Halloween cookies with frosting and sprinkles...well, I'm not as brilliant as I thought. First of all 7pm in the evening was probably not a wise time choice. He was so excited when he saw the sprinkles that he began shoving handfuls of sprinkles in his mouth. Then, when I started frosting the cookies to demonstrate the process he got mad at me. Finally, he figured out what was supposed to happen and he was unstoppable! He had such a great time decorating and eating cookies...well...sprinkles :) By the time it was all over he was jumping up and down squealing "Mommy Best!".

Music to My Ears!

I love that Conor can communicate with us now. It makes life SO much easier...and a lot noisier. It's so adorable how he has developed a little vocabulary of his own. There are reoccurring words that he can't quite pronounce yet, so he's made up his own translation. These words are like music to my ears everytime I hear them! I try so hard not to giggle everytime he says them...but its a bit challenging at times:

  • Lowleesh = Lotion (my personal favorite!)
  • Meemee = Blanket
  • Vitabite = Vitamin
  • Meeno = Piano
  • Lovely = Love you
  • Monomow = Lawn Mower
  • Memosteet = Sesame Street (this is a new one...it took a little while for me to figure it out...)

Frisco Arts Festival

Today we took Conor to the Frisco Arts Festival. They had live music, vendors with amazing paintings and photographs, bounce houses and more. Conor had a wonderful time! He really loved the Kettle Corn. A couple next to us were eating their Kettle Corn and Conor walked up to them and said "mine, mine!"
