Hooray for Daylight Savings Time!

We're so happy that Daylight Savings Time is back. Now when we get home from school and work we still have a little daylight left to play outside before dinner. Last week I asked Conor if he wanted to go outside and ride his bike he said, "Yay!!!". The first thing he did was run and put on his helmet. Then he ran over to me and said, "Me ready!". He hasn't even had many opportunities to ride his new bike since he got it, yet he already knows that the helmet is part of the process. He's so smart! Conor is loving being able to go outside again. He's finally getting to enjoy all of his outdoor toys (golf clubs, bike, soccer goal) outside rather than inside like he has been for the last couple of months.

Boo-Boo

Conor's Baba & Papa bought him this adorable little "Boo-Boo Ice Pack" a few months ago. We've had it in the freezer this whole time. Just recently Conor bumped his head and he remembered that he'd seen it in the freezer. So he ran over to freezer and got his little ice pack out, wrapped it in a paper towel, and held it up to the bump on his head. After sitting there for a few minutes he said, "Me better now". Then he went and put it back in the freezer. He's growing up so fast!

Conor's Garden

As I sit here writing this post it is 34 degrees outside and there's 5.5 inches of snow on the ground. However, last weekend was a beautiful Spring weekend! We spent most of the weekend working out in the yard, sitting on the patio sipping on Sangria, and watching Conor play with bubbles. One of Conor's favorite weekend activities is going to Lowe's. He says "Me going to Lowe's to buy more tools! Yay!!!". Last weekend we came across a little Sesame Street gardening section and found this adorable little kit. Conor had such a blast planting his Bert & Ernie Bell Pepper seeds with his Daddy.

True Confidence

I thought you might like a good laugh on this Friday morning so enjoy these pictures of Conor getting ready to leave for school. He insisted on wearing his fireman rain boots, green star shaped sunglasses, and his Thomas the Train backpack. He is very particular about what he wears to school these days. At least we know he's confident :)

Singin' in the Rain

Conor had been dying to go outside today from the moment he got up. We promised him this morning he could go play outside and then it started raining. We kept waiting, hoping it would let up but it never did. Finally we decided to dress him up in his fireman coat and let him go play. He had so much fun splashing around!

Sandy in Guinness Book of World Records?

Not exactly. But she helped someone else get there! She helped a man set the record for most hugs in 24 hours. It was all for a good cause-benefiting the American Heart Association.

The Big 3-0

This past February Sandy turned 30. As was the case for my unfortunate birthday, we decided to make the best of the situation and go to Vegas. The blizzard of 2010 held us back a day but we finally made it out of Big D. We left the 30 degree and snow weather for 60 degrees and sun in Vegas-it was marvelous. Thank you Nana and Pops for braving the weather to watch Conor!

Conor's Alone Time

The other day I thought that Conor was being suspiciously quiet. I found him working on his Mickey Mouse laptop under a quilt. He had a little set up complete with snacks, drinks, and some of his Valentine's Day gifts. I guess even 2 year olds need a little alone time every now and then.
