February in Frisco

We've lived in the Dallas area for almost 9 years now and we are always amazed at how unpredictable the weather can be in February! We would've never imagined that we would see this much snow on February 11th!!! While it did require us to rearrange our Las Vegas plans, we were happy to experience this with Conor. Nana & Pops braved this crazy weather to come take care of Conor for the weekend...they never envisioned that they would be greeted with 12 inches of snow!

An Old Wooden Spoon and a .99 Cent Ball

If you look closely at this picture you'll see a room full of toys. Yet, Conor is playing with an old wooden spoon and this big blue ball. He invented this game where he hits the ball with the spoon and his Daddy has to kick it back to him and then he hits the ball right back as fast as he can. He is incredibly entertained by this and only his Daddy is allowed to play it with him. He doesn't even want me in the room! Not to worry, he does play with his real toys most of the time. But every now and then he comes up with these little games and we have to laugh. We just had to take a picture because of the irony of the situation.

2010 is Going to Rock!

Happy New Year!!! Sorry for the long gap in posts. After such a busy December we've been trying to slow down and take it easy. As you can see Conor's been busy with all of his new toys. Now that he has his own guitar and a fabulous new drum set (thank you Aunt Natalie!). He is ready to rock! Add to that his new found love of singing and he's quite a noisy little guy. If he's not talking...he's singing...if he's not singing...he's playing music. Things don't quiet down around here until he goes to bed. His singing can even be heard throughout the grocery store, restaurants, and the mall. He's even gotten very good at singing while simultaneously playing his instruments. I'm blown away at how this kid can multi-task! And yes, we know he is long overdue for a haircut :) Maybe we can squeeze one in this weekend.

2009 went out with a bang! Aunt Charissa & Uncle Nick had their first baby, Chloe Marie, on November 23rd...she is seriously one of the prettiest baby girls I have ever seen! Uncle Bret and Sam tied the knot on NYE! We couldn't be more excited about Sam officially becoming "Aunt Sam" :) Aunt Barb & Uncle Jeramy are planning to move to Frisco...Yay! We can't wait to have them as neighbors! And, Aunt Emilie and Uncle Chris are expecting their second baby this Spring!

We have a big year ahead of us! Next month I will turn the big "3-0"...YIKES! Conor will start a little music class this Spring. This Fall Conor will start going to Preschool part-time (in addition to going to his regular daycare). "Potty Training" is about to start getting a little more serious around here. There are some fun family trips planned for the summer. Warren and I have now added a few Half Marathons to our already busy schedule of Road Bike rides. And next month we'll start some little projects around the house. It's going to be a busy year, but its sure to be full of fun and exciting adventures!

What a Wonderful Christmas!

There is no denying that Conor is a very lucky little guy. He has 3 sets of amazing Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles that absolutely adore him. He truly had the best Christmas ever!

Christmas night is always spent with his Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Lara, and Uncle James (and now Scout). Conor was so excited on the way to see everyone...most of all their puppy Scout. He was sitting in the backseat clapping and sqealing "Yay, Stout!" The favorite gift of the evening was an awesome set of tiny golf clubs. He was so excited to have real clubs like his Daddy's. He played golf until he wore himself out. Thank you for such a memorable Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I've always loved Christmas morning! This may have been the last year before Conor starts waking us up super early to open his presents. I hope everyone enjoyed sleeping in one last time :) Once again Conor had numerous fun gifts to open. A very unexpected favorite gift was this Dirt Devil vacuum that "Santa" picked up at the last minute. Once he opened the vacuum nothing else mattered. He received a whole slew of fun and exciting gifts, but he would always go back to the vacuum. Kids can be so unpredictable! We were so lucky to get to spend Christmas morning with the whole family. Thank you Nana & Pops for such a wonderful Christmas!!!

"Twas the Night Before Christmas..."

Every year we spend Christmas Eve with Baba & Papa. Conor had such a blast playing with his new toys. We tried to explain Santa Clause to him, but he's still not quite sure about that. We told him Santa brought him this tricycle but he keeps saying "Baba buy me this bike!". We couldn't believe he actually wore the helmet...he's such a good boy! Thank you Baba & Papa for another fun and very special Christmas Eve!
