Big Moment

Tonight Conor decided he wanted to feed himself. We put refried beans in a little bowl for him and gave him a spoon. He put the spoon in the bowl, took a bite, put the spoon back in the bowl to get more food and took another bite. After that he got really mad if we tried to take the spoon away.

Conor at Lake McQueeney

This past weekend we loaded up the car with Sandy, myself, Baby Conor and 3 pugs and headed down to Lake McQueeney for Memorial Day Weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Sano were nice enough to have a life vest ready for Conor so he could go for a boat ride. At first he was a little put off because it's so bulky but he relaxed once we got going. We took the boat over to the Ski Lodge for lunch where Conor snacked on Saltines and water. After his food settled, we headed over to the pool so he could splash around for a bit. He had the best time but that sun really wore him out!

The Baby and the Ball

Conor loves his blue ball. We were at the store and decided it would be fun to get him a big ball to play with. Unfortunately once he saw it he didn't want to let it go. So the rest of the time at the store, we had to either let him hold it or bounce it around to make him laugh. A few passersby were hit but no one was injured.

Baby Conor's Likes & Dislikes

These days we are experimenting with new and exciting table foods. His favorite meal of the week is Mac n Cheese and avocados. Here is what we've discovered so far:

On this very special day, I thought I would do a little tribute to Sandy. This picture series shows one of the many things that make Conor's Mommy so wonderful.

Conor is 11 Months Old!

Today Conor is 11 Months Old! He is crawling faster than ever and he is now cruising around using the furniture. For his 11 month birthday we bought him a "Cars" fold out chair...as you can see he LOVES it. He's already taken some very good naps in it.

Conor can say Mama and Dada now which is so cute! He is trying to form other words, but for now they are just cute little sounds. Table foods are our newest adventure with Baby Conor. He's enjoying new delicious finger foods each day. The pugs are Conor's favorite playmates. He loves chasing them around the house and attempting to play fetch. Conor is constantly discovering new things around the house. Whenever we take him out, he is fascinated by what is going on around him. He soaking it all in!

Our Baby Conor is becoming a little boy right before our eyes...just one more month til he's offically a toddler!

Conor & Mommy

Play Date!

Today Baby Conor had a play date with his cousin Max and his friend Ava. They had so much fun playing with each other's toys. Conor & Max are finally old enough to play with each other and chase each other around. Ava can't crawl around yet, she's still too little, but she'll be chasing those boys in no time (or they'll be chasing her). We had so much fun watching them. The kids played so hard that they were all ready for a nap. So cute!

Horses and Mint Juleps

Today we went to the horsetrack so that Conor could watch the races and place some bets. We got him the cutest little polo and white shorts to wear. You can't really tell from the pictures, but the shorts have a striped belt! Next year, we are going to enter Conor in the best hat contest (there were some pretty extravagant ones out there).

The weather was absolutely perfect. We took a big blanket and Conor was able to crawl around in the field while we watched the races. Elise, Conor's new girlfriend (sorry ladies, he's taken), was such a huge help. She helped Mommy feed him and played with him. While she fed Conor, he gazed into her eyes; it was so cute!

Afterwards, we went over to our friends house and Baby Conor got in the pool for the first time. To Mommy & Daddy's surprise, he LOVED it! We were blown away when he kept dipping his face in the water with no problem. He splashed around and tried to chase the girls. He was fearless! It was the custest thing we've ever seen. We cannot wait to get him in the pool again. (Sorry there are no pictures, we did not have the camera and we were not about to miss a second to go inside and get it.)
